Solheim Cup back in the USA
Rumour has it that the midweek highlights package on Eurosport television last week really did the 14th edition of the Solheim Cup proud. Apparently, the programme was a delight to watch capturing all the excitement and sparkle of the high-quality golf played by both teams in Germany. And that is, ideally, how the match should be remembered.
So perhaps we can now all forgive and forget the Sunday morning hiccup. A misunderstanding over a ‘gimmee’ putt which, ironically, became a key motivating factor in America’s victory. Lessons will no doubt have been learned and measures put in place to prevent a repeat of such a fiasco in the future.

Let us positively look forward to Europe’s sweet and sporting revenge in 2017, when the 15th edition of the most exciting competition in women’s golf takes place.
