Second Major of the season tees-off today
Jordan Spieth took another walk into the history books this time last year when he won the US Open at Chambers Bay to seize his second successive Major title. He finished one stroke ahead of Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa) and Dustin Johnson in a gripping final round during which the lean American stunned the world by three-putting the par-5 18th hole from 12-feet to hand outright victory to Spieth. The wonder boy from Dallas is now 22 years old and is still producing the same class of golf which has seen him top the world ranking for most of the last twelve months in a jostle with Australian Jason Day. Spieth begins the defence of his US Open title today (Thursday, 16th June) at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.
