“Mister Consistency”, 30 today!
Congratulations to Dutch tour professional Wil Besseling on the occasion of his 30th birthday today (9 December) from all his golf fans, big and small …!
After an encouraging season on the Challenge Tour this year, Wil just missed out on regaining his European Tour card at the Q-School for the 2015-2016 season. However, the future looks promising for the player from the North of Holland who earned himself the nickname of “Mister Consistency” during the KLM Open in September 2015. His rounds of 69-66-69-69 at the Kennemer G&CC were his best to date in the Dutch Open.
It was in 2006 that Wil turned pro. He made his debut on the Challenge Tour before graduating to the main European Tour in 2009 and again in 2011. Let’s hope he manages to celebrate his 10th year as a pro in style by rolling in a few extra putts next season. The European Tour must surely be within his grasp again …
Happy Birthday, Wil!
