Europe versus America in exciting revenge match
The Italian capital city of Rome will host the Ryder Cup for the first time this week. And, I can assure you that all the thrill and excitement of this epic match already hangs in the air. The Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, only 17 km from the centre of Rome, will follow in the footsteps of Club de Golf Valderrama in Spain (1997) and Le Golf National in France (2018) – when the exhilerating 44th edition of the bi-annual match between Europe and the United States tees-off tomorrow. Yes, Friday, 29th September until Sunday, 1st October!
A whirlwind of spectacular golf is expected over the next three days in Italy as both teams produce their supreme players in the latest Ryder Cup clash. So who are the teams this year?

Alas, there is no sign of an Italian in the European team this year which is a great shame for local player Francesco Molinari who shot to Ryder Cup fame a few years ago with England’s Tommy Fleetwood. Francesco now joins his brother, Edoardo, Thomas Bjorn, Nicolas Colsaerts and José Maria Olazabal as one of the Vice Captains to Luke Donald in Italy.
America’s largest margin of victory
What happened in 2021 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, USA? Well, the Ryder Cup was won by the Americans with the largest margin of victory in the modern era: USA 19 – Europe 9. Now back in Europe for the 44th edition, the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Italy looks set to host a spectacular Ryder Cup comeback for the Europeans.
Have a great few days, guys! We’re backing you all the way for an exciting revenge over the next few days and especially on the ‘Sunday of Singles’ in the Ryder Cup!
