Golfing greats line-up at Augusta National, USA
The four Majors in golf provide tremendous inspiration to everyday players all over the world. Indeed much more than anyone can dare to imagine. The Masters of 2025 was absolutely no exception. Did the World Number One golfer from America Scottie Scheffler scoop yet another Major? Or another American like Bryson DeChambeau? Well, actually no. Last year’s Masters saw two players from this side of the ocean battle it out in a nerve-racking play-off at Augusta National, USA. Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy and England’s Justin Rose both ended on a score of 11-under par. And for McIlroy the exciting play-off resulted in a wonderful victory which saw him seize the rare Grand Slam on his 11th attempt. It was a moment of utter joy and elation for him.
Top-5 in the Masters of 2025
Tucked-in just two shots behind McIlroy and Rose was the American Patrick Reed who shot a super 9-under par. He was looking for his second Masters victory after winning at Augusta National in 2018. The run of Americans continued with World Number One Scottie Scheffler who was one shot further behind and then Bryson DeChambeau (USA) and South Korean Sungjae Im in a share of 5th on 7-under.
In just one more day on Thursday, 9 April, the 2026 US Masters gets underway at Augusta National and the world’s golfing greats are eagerly waiting to stamp their mark on the impeccable course in Georgia. Can 36-year old Rory McIlroy repeat last year’s victory in the 90th Masters? Will Justin Rose secure triumph at Augusta National? Perhaps 29-year old Scottie Scheffler will win his fifth Major? Whatever the scenario, there is no doubt that the Masters played from 9th to 12th April will simply inspire you!
So put your feet-up and enjoy the magic of the Masters on television. You deserve it!
