Sunday saga fires-up USA team to surprise victory
A controversial non-conceded putt on the 17th hole ignited a bitter row during the final day’s play of the Solheim Cup in Germany. After the incident, Team USA, led by Juli Inkster, was so fired-up that they went on to seize the trophy by a narrow margin of 14½ to 13½, denying Europe of their historical hat-trick.
