“Train in the winter? No, thank you!”
Many golfers find practising really boring. But it needn’t be. It can also be very inspiring which is why “Golfing Inspirations” has recruited a volunteer to take part in a special training programme. He’s not just any volunteer though. He has been carefully selected for several reasons. He has been playing golf for 25 years; still ‘boasts’ a handicap of 28; never practises and, most surprising of all, has only ever had one lesson since a few group lessons he took when he very first started. His first reaction to our invitation was: “Train in the winter? No, thank you!” However, luckily for us, with a little bit of arm twisting and some timely Autumn sunshine, he was prepared to change his mind.
And so it was on a glorious and golden Autumn day, he had his first lesson as part of the winter training with a PGA Holland professional in Rotterdam. Over the coming weeks, he’ll be following the “Academy of Golf 9-Step Plan” from PGA Holland and the Dutch Golf Federation which our golf pro will be tailoring to suit our “game golfer”. Will he be inspired or give up after one lesson?
You can follow his golfing adventure over the next few weeks by checking out: “Golfing Inspirations/Reviews/Special Features”.
