Fun and serious golf during second Golf Week

Robert-Jan Derksen is making quite a name for himself as television golf commentator for Ziggo Sport in Holland these days.  After more than twenty years of travelling the globe as a Tour player, he has masses of experience to draw upon as well as some fascinating stories to tell during the broadcasts.  The amicable player from Nijmegen is then a natural choice by ING Private Banking and promoters TIG Sport to act as host for the second edition of the Golf Week in Tilburg (7-9 July).

 

We spoke with the ever-charming Derksen during the presentation of this year’s ING Golf Week at Prise d’eau Golf Club.  Fresh from the press conference and rushing off onto the course for a photo shoot with former football international, Ronald de Boer, and Ladies European Tour player Anne van Dam, Wendy Hoad poses the question on everyone’s lips: “Is this the future of golf?”
