Luiten’s victorious moment shared with proud dad, Nico

After a disappointing opening round of 75 in the 2017 KLM Open at The Dutch, with more stormy weather and rain delays predicted, defending champion, Joost Luiten could do with a boost right now. That’s why at Golfing Inspirations we’ve sifted through our radio archives for some of those memorable moments from his victory in September 2016.
Amid the euphoria and celebrations on the 18th green, we shared a very special moment with Nico Luiten, the proud father of the freshly-crowned champion. A few minutes earlier, his son had been presented with the Dutch Open Championship trophy for the second time in his career after closing with a round of 63 for an impressive record-equalling score of 19-under par. But we had to be quick with our interview, Nico was in great demand. All the press naturally wanted him to be in the picture alongside Joost and the rest of the Dutchman’s dream team!
