Inspiring golf weekend ahead for all

Young aspiring Tigers and Rory’s, as well as seasoned golfers, have a busy weekend ahead in Holland as many clubs hold their Open Golf Days and the 10th edition of the Amsterdam Golf Show (23 and 24 April) gets underway at Amstelborgh–Borchland.

 

Amsterdam Golf is aimed at the whole family: the serious golfer, the curious beginner and children. All are catered for again this year with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and exhibition stands. The Shopping Lane is designed to satisfy the appetite for the latest in golf fashion whether it be bags, clothing or equipment. Alongside in the Expo Hall, there is also a Fashion Show twice a day. On the driving range it is possible to try out some of the leading brands of club in search of that new golf set for the 2016 season. And, as always at the show, there are fun competitions to enter, including the longest-drive, and prizes to be won.

 

Organiser Arthur Beerendonk of Holland Golf Events is pleased to be bringing the event back to its roots again this year. It was in 2006 that the first Amsterdam Golf Show took place on a grand scale in the Amsterdam Rai and where a further five editions followed.

 

Beats, Balls and Business!

 

Borchland is a sport and event centre just down the road from the exhibition centre of the Rai. Amstelborgh-Borchland not only boasts its own 9-hole par 3 golf course and covered driving range but also hosts a golf and networking club for the Amsterdam area. With the catchy name: “Beats, Balls and Business”, it’s bound for success!

 

Admission to the Amsterdam Golf Show this weekend is free-of-charge, if you check-in on-line. However, at the gate there is a charge of 5 euros. There is ample parking at Borchland, however, there is a parking fee of 5 euros for the day. Opening times: Saturday, 23 April – 10.00 to 18.00; Sunday, 24 April – 10.00 to 17.00.
